PhD in marine ecology on invasive algae and proliferating coral reefs (2003, UPF).
Since 2003, his research focuses on the ecology of macroalgae (taxonomy, biodiversity, biological indicators, proliferation and interaction with coral) and their biotechnological potential (bioactive molecules, culture) around the world (Mexico, Tahiti, New Caledonia, France, Reunion).
